The Clinic
Our health care facility, Clinica FIBUSPAM, is a clinic and surgical unit located high in the Ecuadorian Andes in Riobamba, Ecuador. Our clinic provides general health screening, dental, eye and surgical care, and prescribes and distributes medicines. We organize mobile clinics to outlying communities as far away as the Amazon. We operate our own lab for blood and other tests at no charge.
The clinic opened in August of 2007 and to date has treated over 25,000 patients. We serve a largely indigenous population in an area marked by significant poverty with limited or no access to health care. Our clinic is also a secure and well-equipped base for teams of foreign surgeons who wish to travel to Ecuador to do humanitarian work.

Mobile Medical Caravans
Every month our clinic brings its care to communities outside of Riobamba, providing care to children who may never see a doctor. In this way, we have treated thousands of children and discovered serious cases that can be referred to other hospitals and partners. We have worked as far away as remote communities in the Amazon that can only be reached by foot and horseback.
Our “Caravanas” are staffed by our clinic employees as well as scores of Ecuadorian physicians committed to bringing care to the neediest of their country’s children. We are all proud of this work and look forward to bringing care to all parts of Ecuador.
