On November 11, 2011, Clinica Dulce Refugio proudly opened its new and beautiful 2nd floor. This new space was completed in just 4 months and contains our new operating room, delivery room, recovery unit, neo-natal unit and three patient rooms with six beds.

2nd Floor Completed and Inaugurated

This new surgical, patient care floor greatly expands our Clinic’s capabilities and represents a true triumph for our staff.  At the ceremony, a General from the Ecuadorian National Police donated six patient beds and an operating table to support our work. A member of the National Assembly attended and was instrumental in this support.  Founder Paul Martel donated a new children’s hospital crib to the Clinic.  The crib is a gift from the parents and students of Renbrook School. A festive dinner for 40 people was hosted and served from the Clinic’s own kitchen.
